Uncle Sam stands up to PPID
Terri Gammage from the Texas panhandle shared, “I am the president of Panhandle Safe Hayven Equine Rescue. I try to attend the local horse auction in case there is something there that I can afford to buy then donate to the rescue. No, the rescue does not buy horses! When Uncle Sam came in, I immediately sensed that he was the one. I think he was the hairiest horse I have EVER seen!! I outbid the kill buyer, and Sam was mine.
I took him home and unloaded him, all without ever even touching him. Once there, I was able to feel how skinny and hairy he really was. I managed to put some weight on him, and he started to shed out. Before long, he stopped shedding, and I knew we had a problem.
The veterinarian at Oklahoma State University put him on PRASCEND® and the difference is amazing. Uncle Sam looked so different in a few months that I didn't recognize him! He feels great, eats everything I give him, and loves to go for trailrides. He even carried a newsman that was a total novice on our benefit trailride. In the end, I did not donate Uncle Sam to the rescue. I decided to keep him as my own personal horse, and I have never regretted it! I am so glad to have PRASCEND available for my boy!!”
